Job summary

AA Euro Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Cork to lead a major construction project from conception to completion, delivering on time and to budget while upholding safety, quality and client satisfaction. You will report to the Contract Manager and work across sectors including pharmaceutical, life sciences, food and beverage and commercial.

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 7+ years post-qualification construction experience.
• Proven ability to deliver large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
• Excellent IT skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Working knowledge of building regulations and certification standards.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management to the project construction team to drive high performance.
• Develop and foster collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure works comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Promote a positive Health and Safety culture on-site.
• Develop the contract programme with the construction team to meet milestones.
• Execute short to medium term project planning to mitigate risks.
• Champion quality standards and coordinate with the quality system.
• Ensure production and commercial procedures are implemented with the commercial team.
• Manage procurement and placing of sub-contractors and supplier orders.
• Lead value engineering and product development during the project.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, design teams and regulators.
• Provide accurate reporting and forecasting for the project.
• Collate and action information at contract review meetings.
• Attend progress meetings and respond to meeting requirements.
