Senior Construction Manager - Roscommon Renewable Project

Job summary

NexVentur seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead day-to-day delivery of a major renewable energy project in Roscommon. You will manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring safety, programme, and quality standards are met.

The role requires strong leadership, coordination of multiple work packages and close collaboration with Project Management, Engineering, HSE and Commercial teams. A full driving licence is essential and site presence in Roscommon is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Construction Manager, Site Manager, Site Agent or similar senior site-based role.
• Strong experience managing construction projects and site teams.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and contractors.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and project delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within construction.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues effectively.
• Full driving licence and willingness to work on site in Roscommon.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall construction delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Ensure construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the project programme.
• Manage site operations and coordinate daily activities across multiple work packages.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or issues.
• Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, HSE and Commercial teams.
• Review construction methodologies, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials, plant, equipment and resources.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure works are completed to the required quality standards.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Identify and resolve construction issues quickly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, designers and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, planning conditions, permits and project requirements.
• Support project commissioning, completion and handover.
