Job summary

Trading 212 Ltd. is seeking a Deputy Head of Compliance to lead and enhance the compliance framework within its Irish-regulated payment institution. You will deputise for the Head of Compliance, engage with the Central Bank of Ireland, and ensure robust controls across regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on developing policies, monitoring programmes, and reporting to the Board and regulators, with autonomy in day-to-day execution and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree level in Law, Finance or related field is desirable.
• 5+ years of compliance experience within regulated Irish financial institutions.
• Line management experience, or readiness to take on line management responsibility.
• In-depth knowledge of the regulatory requirements incumbent upon an Irish payment institution.
• Deep knowledge and experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Ability to use artificial intelligence and other technology to enhance work outcomes with regard to control, data protection and record-keeping in a regulated environment.
• High standards of conduct and ethics.
• A 'right first time' attitude and excellent attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team, with autonomy when deputising.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including presenting to senior stakeholders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company's compliance framework and take ownership of defined components.
• Maintain and execute the compliance monitoring programme, including testing, issue identification, remediation tracking and escalation.
• Maintain Fitness & Probity processes, including controlled function records, due diligence and annual certification.
• Maintain compliance registers, records and evidence to withstand regulatory scrutiny.
• Conduct regulatory horizon scanning and provide regulatory and compliance advice on payments regulation, resilience, consumer protection and accountability.
• Support responses to regulatory inspections, thematic reviews and information requests.
• Assist with timely submission of regulatory reporting to the CBI.
• Support preparation of compliance reporting and MI for the Board and governance forums.
• Help foster a strong organisation-wide culture of compliance and best practice.
