Job summary

Trading 212 Ltd. is seeking a Head of Payments to lead the payments function within Trading 212 Money Europe Limited, as a regulated Payment Institution. You will report to the COO and deputise for them as needed, engaging with the CBI and other authorities.

You will own payment services, including debit card issuance, settlements, and daily reconciliation. The role requires senior payments operations experience, regulatory knowledge, and strong leadership to build an exceptional payments

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior payments operations experience within EEA or Irish-regulated financial services (Payments)
• Experience with card issuing operations and issuer processors
• Knowledge of payment settlement, funding models, and daily reconciliation controls
• Experience with retail clients/consumers is required
• Knowledge of European/Irish Payment Services and Electronic Money Directives

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the payments operations framework in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Own and operate payment services including debit cards (physical and virtual) and payments via cards and transfers
• Run Cash Account and Card day-to-day operations across all channels
• Manage issuer processor and card scheme relationships
• Maintain payment settlements, accounts, and daily reconciliation processes
• Oversee chargebacks, disputes, and fraud notifications
• Produce dashboards and reports for Board and governance committees
• Lead Payments team and foster a culture of operational excellence
• Provide expert guidance for new products and initiatives with compliance, risk, fraud and tech teams
