Job summary

Aviva is seeking a senior Compliance leader in Ireland to influence at the highest level, guide regulatory strategy and support delivery of the compliance plan while ensuring fair customer outcomes. You will partner with stakeholders across the business and act as deputy to the Head of Compliance, representing the function at senior forums and driving commercial objectives in line with obligations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Compliance, Risk or Regulatory role within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish regulatory environment and ability to interpret and challenge regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience influencing and building credibility with Executive and Board-level audiences.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulatory matters.
• A strong customer and conduct focus with a track record of fair outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Compliance in delivering the compliance plan with oversight and challenge across the business.
• Build relationships with senior leaders to influence decision-making and embed accountability and customer focus.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess impacts and support new regulatory requirements.
• Provide support on strategic projects ensuring regulatory considerations are identified early.
• Lead compliance activities in the Head of Compliance's absence and report to senior committees.
