Job summary

Aviva plc in Ireland is seeking a senior Compliance leader to influence at a senior level, navigate a complex regulatory environment and help shape a customer-focused culture. In this role you will partner with stakeholders across the business to provide expert regulatory guidance, challenge and oversight, while supporting the Head of Compliance in delivering the compliance plan.

You will act as deputy to the Head of Compliance, representing Compliance at senior forums and helping the business

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Compliance, Risk or Regulatory roles within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish regulatory environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex regulatory matters clearly.
• Focus on customer outcomes and embedding positive risk and compliance cultures.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Compliance in delivering the compliance plan with oversight and challenge across the business on regulatory and conduct risk.
• Build relationships with senior leaders to influence decisions and promote accountability and governance.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support implementation of new requirements, including Consumer Protection expectations.
• Support strategic projects and initiatives ensuring regulatory considerations are addressed early.
• Lead compliance activities in the absence of the Head of Compliance and report to senior committees.
