Job summary

John Paul Construction in Dublin is seeking a Commercial Manager with a background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You will lead commercial activities across contracts, manage valuations, cash flow, and subcontractor relationships.

This permanent role requires 10+ years’ experience, chartership progress with SCS, and strong communication skills. You will coach surveyors and work closely with procurement to optimise project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Chartered or working towards chartership with the SCS.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations and payments.
• Manage cash flow and contract positions reporting.
• Place sub-contracts in collaboration with Procurement Manager.
• Review contract documents and flag anomalies.
• Prepare and agree interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
• Take-offs in advance of Estimating/Planning requirements.
• Prepare final accounts for completed works and submit/agree with client representatives.
• Record contract delays meticulously.
• Manage and coach contract surveyors and junior staff.
