Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Ireland is seeking an experienced Platform Hosting Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement and secure PlayStation cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with product and platform teams to integrate security into CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, and mentor peers on secure design choices.

The role requires hands-on security engineering across AWS/GCP, threat detection, automation, and strong communication.

Qualifications

5-7+ years in cloud security or related field.
Hands-on security for cloud infra in AWS, GCP, or both.
Familiar with NIST/PCI DSS concepts.
Proficient in Python and Go.
Experience with IaC tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling and practices.

Responsibilities

Design, architect, and implement security controls for PlayStation infrastructure.
Detect security gaps and mature tooling and operations.
Collaborate with product/platform teams to define requirements and implement cloud security controls.
Write code to automate security processes integrated into builds and deployments.
Develop automation to audit, secure, and apply changes across multi-clouds.
Champion tools to improve platform availability with automated protection.
Document designs, procedures, and recommendations clearly.
Mentor engineers and guide secure design choices.
Advocate for security and privacy best practices across Eng teams.
