Job summary

ClickUp in Ireland (Dublin) is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Cloud Platform team. You will design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure with a focus on EKS, networking, and IaC, enabling ClickUp's AI-powered workspace used by millions.

You will partner with SRE, Security, product, AI, and enterprise teams to improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency while driving multi-region growth.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes production troubleshooting.
• Strong AWS experience with EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, S3, KMS.
• Experience with 20+ AWS accounts, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, DNS, and load balancing.
• Terraform-based infrastructure as code at scale.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with hybrid monolith/microservices architectures.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, Redis.
• Proven track record improving reliability and security guardrails.
• Strong production debugging and cross-functional collaboration.
• Daily AI usage in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale AWS infrastructure with a focus on Amazon EKS, networking, and self-hosted services.
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions to improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Automate shard buildouts and implement Terraform guardrails and hardened ingress.
• Scale systems for multi-region growth with compliance attestations (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and disaster recovery.
• Partner with SRE, Security, product, AI, and enterprise teams to bridge infrastructure and product engineering.
• Own the reliability of Cloud Platform: on-call, incident response, postmortems, runbooks, and prevention.
• Use AI tooling daily to accelerate development, testing, IaC, operations, and investigations.
