Job summary

Personio is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Infra & Cloud Delivery team. You’ll design and implement cloud-native solutions, own on-call responsibilities, and collaborate across engineering to simplify the platform and reduce technical debt.

The role involves AWS account management, Kubernetes cluster operations, and CI/CD pipelines using GitOps practices. Based in Berlin or Dublin with 2 days in the office per week, you’ll contribute to a high-impact HR tech platform that serves

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in SRE/platform/devops/cloud.
• Experience with SaaS development in distributed systems using TS/Java/Kotlin/Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions and GitOps.
• Excellent English communication (CEFR C1/C2).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS account structure, organisation and permissions; monitor cost and utilization.
• Maintain central infrastructure as code and standardisation.
• Support SDLC with GitOps-based CD pipelines across environments.
• Operate and maintain EKS clusters across environments.
• Document platform capabilities and run internal training sessions.
• Drive technical excellence and simplify platform architecture.
• Take ownership of platform services, including on-call.
