Job summary

Luxoft in Dublin, Ireland is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, automate, and operate highly available cloud infrastructure. You will work across hybrid environments, collaborating with Azure and GCP teams, and focus on reliability, security, and cost optimization.

The role emphasizes IaC, automation, and strong incident management, with a preference for hands-on experience in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes/EKS, and monitoring platforms. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT/infrastructure engineering with 5+ years AWS experience.
• Deep hands-on experience designing, implementing and supporting production AWS environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration, OS configuration, troubleshooting, and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, cloud architecture, and high-availability principles.
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code and automation (Python/Shell).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Splunk, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with AWS cost optimization / FinOps.
• Working knowledge of Azure and/or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, secure, automate, and operate highly available AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design and manage AWS networking including Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, VPC, NAT, Direct Connect, Security Groups, NACLs, DNS.
• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and automation frameworks.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra and applications; support Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability; manage incident response and RCA processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Cloud, Security, Networking, and Development.
