Job summary

Henry Schein is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Architect to design scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for enterprise data and API platforms. The role is hands-on, shaping architectural direction and engineering standards.

You will lead cloudnative architectures on Azure, implement IaC, CI/CD workflows, and secure environments while collaborating with Data and API teams to ensure performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in Azure (AWS/GCP experience is a plus).
• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, IAM, and distributed systems.
• Experience building and supporting production‑grade cloud platforms.
• Preferred AZ-305 or equiavlent certification.
• Experience supporting data platforms (Databricks, Spark) and API ecosystems.
• Familiarity with platform engineering concepts and internal developer platforms (IDPs).
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, etc.).
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare).

Responsibilities

• Establish observability practices with logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Drive cloud cost optimization (FinOps) including rightsizing and scaling strategies.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues across environments.
• Establish governance and operational models across architecture and operations.

This is a senior individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise and hands‑on execution, with strong influence on architectural direction and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
