Job summary

DesignBuild Search are working with one of Ireland's leading Civil contractors. They have an opening for a Civil Quantity Surveyor in Meath. The successful applicant will oversee cost estimates and procurement on significant civil and infrastructure projects, with exposure to industry leaders.

The role offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic project environment on-site across site teams and client interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Proficient in COINS, Bluebeam, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor project costs and progress, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and provide accurate valuations.
