Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Principal / Associate Civil Engineer to lead the delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects for Uisce Éireann and other public sector clients.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing multidisciplinary project teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering complex wastewater treatment and collection system projects from concept through to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Level 8) in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in planning, design and delivery of water or wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience delivering projects for Uisce Éireann, local authorities or similar public sector utility clients.
• Experience managing project teams and mentoring technical staff.
• Experience supporting projects through design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, pumping stations, rising mains, sewer networks and sludge management.
• Experience working under NEC, FIDIC or Public Works Contracts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of wastewater treatment and collection projects.
• Manage projects through all stages of delivery, including feasibility, concept design, planning, detailed design, procurement, construction support and commissioning.
• Act as Project Manager on major wastewater and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, to programme, within budget and in accordance with quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civil, process, mechanical, electrical, environmental and planning specialists.
• Manage project risk, programme, resources and financial performance.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Uisce Éireann and other key clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and successful project delivery.
• Lead project progress meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements.
• Understand client objectives and provide strategic technical advice.
