Job summary

DBFL is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead a design team on large national infrastructure projects across public and private sectors. You will manage clients, budgets, and project delivery from feasibility through construction, reporting to a Civil Director.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of civil experience, strong commercial acumen, and Chartered status or progression toward it, with a focus on mentoring staff and delivering high-quality designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years civil engineering experience.
• Strong commercial and risk management background.
• Customer-focused with client relationship skills.
• Ability to mentor staff in developing technical expertise.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• A current driver’s licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team on large national infrastructure projects from feasibility to completion.
• Manage client relations, financials and project delivery.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and present solutions.
• Ensure conformance with standards such as GDSDS, IW CoP, DMURS and DMRB.
• Develop new workstreams and mentor junior engineers.
