Job summary

DBFL is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Waterford to lead a multi-disciplinary team on a range of national infrastructure projects. You will oversee feasibility studies through detailed design, construction, and project completion, working closely with a Civils Director and clients across public and private sectors.

The role requires chartered status or working towards it, 8+ years of civil engineering experience, and strong leadership, planning and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years civil engineering experience.
• Strong commercial and risk management background.
• Minimum Level 8 Civil Engineering Degree (Hons) and ideally Chartered status.
• Customer-focused with growing client relationship management skills.
• Ability to mentor staff in developing their own technical expertise.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team on large national infrastructure projects.
• Provide services from feasibility studies to detailed designs through construction and completion.
• Responsible for client management, financial/commercial management, and team growth.
