Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks a Senior Civil Engineer for their Galway office to lead design and delivery on renewable energy and infrastructure projects. The role combines project leadership with contract management across energy, water and utilities sectors, guiding multidisciplinary teams both conceptually and through to completion.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years' civil engineering design experience, familiarity with Eurocodes and Irish Building Regulations, and strong English

Qualifications

7+ years’ post-graduate experience in civil engineering design within a relevant consultancy or industry environment.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status desirable but not essential.
Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations and local authority planning standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
Full clean driving licence and own transport required.
Fluent written and spoken English essential.

Responsibilities

Take project lead responsibility for the design and contract management of energy and infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
Manage statutory compliance processes including planning applications, fire certificates, DAC applications and IPC licence requirements.
Ensure compliance with Building Control requirements and design in accordance with Irish Building Regulations.
Lead the civil design of civil projects and mentor junior engineers.
Lead and manage a team of engineers, taking responsibility for project delivery, performance management and professional development.

Senior Civil Engineer with 7+ years’ experience required to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in their Galway office. Our client is a Civil and Structural consultancy with over 200 staff and offices across Ireland and England. They have a strong 70-year track record of delivering complex engineering projects across renewables, infrastructure, water, energy and utilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and take a lead role on high-value, technically challenging projects in the Civil sector.

Role
