Protex AI seeks a Senior Software Engineer with deep C/C++ expertise to design and optimise a real-time video analytics pipeline for edge devices. You’ll work with NVIDIA DeepStream SDK and GStreamer, owning performance, reliability, and edge-to-cloud delivery.

With 8+ years of experience, you’ll mentor others and influence technical direction while ensuring scalable, observable systems for safety-critical applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of traditional C/C++, with modern C++ (C++17/20).
• Strong multithreading, asynchronous programming, and concurrency management.
• Proven debugging skills with GDB on multi-threaded real-time apps.
• Experience building and deploying with Docker on edge devices.
• Ability to influence technical direction and mentor others.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own design, implementation, and optimisation of a real-time video analytics pipeline.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and observability from edge to cloud.
• Collaborate with CV and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable systems.
