Job summary

RTÉ invites applications for a Senior Broadcast Engineer to join the Playout and Distribution team in Ireland. You will design, operate, maintain and continually improve broadcast infrastructure, supporting automation, playout, monitoring and control systems for linear and OTT services.

With 5+ years in Broadcast Engineering, you will bring deep knowledge of IP networking, media transport tech, and IT infrastructure. The role is permanent and salary scales from €62,633 to €75,834 gross per year.

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in Broadcast Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of broadcast automation, playout, transmission systems, and digital media workflows.
Experience supporting and maintaining mission-critical broadcast and IT infrastructure.
Solid understanding of IP networking and media transport technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, multicast, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, SRT).

Responsibilities

Design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of broadcast infrastructure.
Support and evolution of broadcast automation, playout, monitoring, and control systems.
Oversee transmission infrastructure for linear television services and related workflows.
