Job summary

Johnson Controls Ireland is seeking a BMS Engineer to shape the future direction of client BMS systems and bridge projects with service delivery. You will work with customers, account managers, and project teams to identify risks and opportunities, develop roadmaps, and provide high-level technical support to delivery teams.

The role covers factory acceptance tests, commissioning handover, and documentation, with emphasis on safe systems of work and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level qualification in electrical/electronic field.
• Apprenticeship in electrical trade desirable; 5 years in industry may substitute.
• Experience configuring controllers and actuators on AHUs and terminal units.
• HVAC knowledge/experience.
• Fault finding in electrical starter/controls circuits and operation of variable speed drives.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Industry standard H&S certification (Safe Pass or equivalent).
• BMS industry standards protocols.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and designs, identify commissioning or software issues with project manager.
• Build detailed cost estimates and scope of work with Operations; assist in proposals and customer communications.
• Coordinate with M&E/end user; report deviations from design.
• Load and commission system and network controllers; verify complete functionality.
• Produce handover documentation and testing records for Operating and Maintenance manuals.
• Maintain accurate commissioning progress records.
