Job summary

Johnson Controls Ireland HVAC seeks an experienced BMS Engineer to shape future directions of client BMS systems. You will bridge the projects team and service delivery, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting energy strategies and roadmaps.

You will lead factory acceptance tests, sign-off handover documents, and ensure system readiness across projects, while coordinating with M&E teams and end users for seamless operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level pass grade and/or electrical/electronic qualifications.
• An apprenticeship in an electrical / electronic trade is desirable although 5 years time in the industry with control system commissioning experience would be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Experience in creating/updating graphics and setting workstations and networks into operation is desirable though training will be given.
• Experienced in configuring controllers and actuators on AHU’s and terminal units.
• HVAC knowledge/experience.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Industry standard H&S certification (Safe Pass equivalent)
• BMS Industry standards protocols

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and designs for commissioning or software issues with the project manager.
• Develop cost estimates and scope of work with Operations; assist in proposals and customer communications.
• Coordinate with M&E/end user; ensure alignment with design and commissioning requirements.
• Report delays and progress to the project manager via weekly reports or as requested.
• Present a positive attitude to improve customer satisfaction while meeting contract objectives.
• Maintain accurate commissioning records and sign-off handovers for O&M manuals.
