Job summary

Johnson Controls Ireland HVAC is seeking a skilled BMS Engineer to shape and deliver building management system projects. The role involves commissioning, software integration, and collaboration with projects and service teams to ensure systems meet design and energy efficiency goals.

The candidate will coordinate with M&E and end users, perform upgrade work, and lead on-site validation and handover activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level electrical/electronic degree or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship in electrical/electronic trades is desirable.
• 5+ years in the industry with control system commissioning considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs and designs to identify commissioning or software issues.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and scope of work with Operations.
• Coordinate with M&E and end user on deviations from design.
• Report delays and progress via weekly updates to the Project Manager.
• Lead factory acceptance tests and commissioning handover documentation.
• Ensure safety, health and site regulations are followed on site.
• Maintain records and support project and service teams as needed.
