Johnson Controls in Dublin seeks a skilled BMS Engineer to oversee commissioning and support for BMS systems on major projects. You will link the projects team with the service delivery model and identify risks and opportunities to optimize energy strategies.
You will validate designs, support roadmaps, and provide high-level technical assistance to project and service teams. Strong engineering knowledge and clear communication are essential for success.

The BMS commissioning engineer role will be responsible for shaping the future direction of our clients BMS systems and become the link between the projects team and the service delivery model. Working alongside the customer, account manager, service and project teams the Senior Engineer will proactively identify risks and opportunities for the client, helping to shape energy strategies, developing roadmaps for future proofing systems and providing high level technical support to the project and service teams. From a static state commission, the controls system and designated plant interfaces bringing the control system and plant to full operation such that it performs according to the project specification and designs.
As part of major projects team member, the following key tasks will be performed:
Bachelor level pass grade and/or electrical/electronic qualifications An apprenticeship in an electrical / electronic trade is desirable although 5 years time in the industry with control system commissioning experience would be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. Previous experience in creating/updating graphics and setting workstations and networks into operation is desirable though training will be given. Experienced in configuring controllers and actuators on AHU’s and terminal units. HVAC knowledge/experience. Experienced in fault finding in electrical starter /controls circuits and the setting into operation of starters and associated rotating plant. Experienced in the operation and setting into operation of variable speed drives. Good communication skills, both written and verbal Industry standard H&S certification (Safe Pass equivalent) BMS Industry standards protocols
