Job summary

MSD in Dublin is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for the Digital Manufacturing Operations (DMO) team at the Biotech Dublin facility. You will back reliable, compliant automation across DeltaV, OEM and data historians, driving continuous improvement and launch readiness.

You will lead senior-level automation support, mentor teams, manage change controls, and collaborate with QA, Validation and IT to deliver compliant, value‑adding automation solutions that support manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive automation or process control experience in a regulated GxP environment.

Responsibilities

Provide senior automation support for DeltaV DCS, OEM and data historians.
Support Launch Excellence: planning and delivering new products at Biotech Dublin.
Troubleshoot complex automation issues to ensure reliable operations and deviation resolution.
Lead automation changes from scoping to closure, aligned with site quality standards.
Review equipment specs, P&IDs, control strategies and lifecycle docs for compliant design.
Support commissioning, qualification, validation and test activities for new/modified systems.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, IT and Digital teams.
Contribute to digital transformation through system integration and data connectivity.
