Job summary

eir is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to lead large, high-value opportunities across telecoms, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity and transformation programmes. You will develop winning strategies, influence senior stakeholders and run virtual bid teams.

You will mentor junior team members and contribute to building eir's bid capability, governance and best practices across the organisation. APMP Practitioner certification and 7+ years bid management are preferred.

• 7+ years bid management experience.

• Strong commercial, financial and contractual understanding.

• Strategic Bid Leadership: Lead complex, strategic and high-value opportunities.
• Bid Management: Manage cross-functional bid teams, budgets, resources and timelines.
• Governance: Drive compliance, quality and governance reviews and sign-off processes.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with Sales Directors, Leadership Teams and ensure alignment with strategy.
• Mentor Bid Managers and Junior Bid Managers and drive improvements in win rates and bid quality.

Job description

The Senior Bid Manager plays a strategic role within the eir business Bid Team and is responsible for leading large, high-value and complex opportunities across telecommunications, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, professional services and technology transformation programmes.

The role requires a highly experienced bid professional capable of developing winning strategies, influencing senior stakeholders and leading virtual bid teams across the organisation.

The successful candidate will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the ongoing development of eir business' business-winning capability.

• Strategic Bid Leadership

• Develop pursuit strategies and win plans.
• Provide qualification guidance and opportunity assessment.
• Shape opportunities prior to formal tender release where possible.
• Bid Management
• Lead cross-functional bid teams throughout the bid lifecycle.
• Manage bid budgets, resources and delivery timelines.
• Drive compliance, quality and governance reviews.
• Oversee executive reviews and sign-off processes.
• Ensure bids align with company strategy and commercial objectives.
• Stakeholder Management
• Partner with Sales Directors, Account Directors and Leadership Teams.
• Facilitate bid workshops and strategy sessions.
• Build strong relationships across technical, commercial and operational functions.
• Influence decision-making at senior leadership level.
• Support development of bid methodologies and best practice.
• Mentor Bid Managers and Junior Bid Managers.
• Drive improvements in win rates and bid quality.
• Champion APMP and business-winning best practices

Requirements For ASuccessful Application:

• Knowledge of Irish, UK and EU procurement frameworks.
