Job summary

Holafly, a fast-growing scale-up, is seeking a Back-end Engineer to power our global connectivity platform. You will own the development of high-performance APIs and microservices used by millions of users worldwide.

Based in Ireland, you will collaborate with Product and QA teams, implement robust unit tests with Pytest, and drive performance optimizations to eliminate bottlenecks and N+1 queries. Fluency in English required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development with Django + DRF.
• Microservices design experience and integrating third-party apps.
• Proficiency in asynchronous programming and high-load queries.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimise mission-critical microservices with Python, Django, DRF.
• Implement robust unit testing (Pytest) and automated quality checks.
• Architect scalable APIs to handle high-concurrency traffic.
• Resolve performance bottlenecks and N+1 query issues.
• Collaborate with Product and QA to translate business logic into technical solutions.
• Champion software lifecycle best practices, including design patterns and code reviews.
