Job summary

Broadridge seeks a Senior Backend Software Engineer in Dublin to join the Securities-Based Lending team. You will design and implement cloud-native backend services using Python, FastAPI, Java and Spring Boot, with REST APIs and microservices on AWS.

You’ll work in an Agile environment, contribute to architecture decisions, and help strengthen CI/CD, testing and engineering practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot; design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other enterprise relational databases.
• Experience using Git and cloud-native AWS services (ECS/Lambda/EC2/S3/IAM/CloudWatch).
• Experience building automated tests and working in Agile Scrum teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and devops practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend services using Python, FastAPI, Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable REST APIs and microservices with secure cloud-native deployments on AWS.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and engineering standards.
• Implement automated testing and robust CI/CD pipelines for backend services.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, UX and Engineering teams to deliver value.
