Job summary

Waystone is seeking an Assistant Vice President to oversee private equity fund accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and strong client relationships. You will mentor team members and drive process improvements across waterfall calculations, capital calls, and year-end audits.

Role requires reviewing complex fund structures, leading client relationships, and collaborating with fund managers, auditors and depositaries to deliver excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in private equity fund administration.
• Experience reviewing complex fund structures and leading client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Review fund documents to ensure proper application of accounting and reporting obligations.
• Prepare and review fund accounting deliverables for accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review waterfall calculations and liaise with Investor Services on capital calls and distributions.
• Complete daily internal requirements and sign-off before end of day.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and year-end audit information.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with fund managers, auditors, depositaries and other stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and mentoring to junior PE accounting team members.
• Support system enhancements, testing and process improvements.
