Job summary

SimoTech, in Ireland, seeks an experienced Automation Project Manager to lead automation initiatives for pharmaceutical and biotech clients within the Engineering Services team. You will plan, execute and control projects spanning PLC/SCADA/DCS and OT, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing automation or controls projects in life sciences or regulated industries
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; PMP certification is a plus
• Strong understanding of GxP, GMP, and FDA requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams from conception through commissioning and validation
• Serve as primary client contact, aligning scope, deliverables, timelines and budget
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost control and change management for commercial success
• Develop commercial proposals, project plans, resources, schedules and risk management
• Support business development through client engagement and new opportunities
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless execution
