Job summary

Crowe Ireland, a top 10 business advisory and accountancy firm, is seeking an experienced Audit professional to lead assignments across multiple sectors. You will manage audits, deliver high-quality reports, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with client teams to add value while meeting deadlines and regulatory requirements such as FRS102 and Irish GAAP.

Applicants should be ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 years of practical audit experience, strong project management and communication

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification with practical audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and FRS102.
• Experience delivering audits across sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits across various industries with thorough planning and briefing.
• Draft and review financial statements and audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Oversee multiple concurrent audits to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
• Collaborate with client teams to add value and ensure smooth audit processes.
• Keep the Partner informed on key issues, risks and progress on audits.
• Ensure audits comply with Irish GAAP and FRS102 within budget and timelines.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

• Lead Audits: Take ownership of audit assignments across various industries, ensuring all projects are well‑planned, and teams are fully briefed on the specific risks and challenges.
• Deliver High-Quality Reports: Draft and review financial statements and audit reports with practical, actionable recommendations that address risks and control weaknesses, backed by solid reasoning.
• Juggle Multiple Projects: Oversee multiple concurrent audit assignments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
• Client Collaboration: Build strong, effective relationships with client teams across departments, making the audit process seamless and adding value to their business.
• Partner Briefings: Keep the Partner informed on all key issues, risks, and progress on audit assignments, ensuring smooth communication.
• Quality Delivery: Execute audits to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with FRS102, Irish GAAP, and addressing key risks within budget and timelines.
• Mentor Junior Staff: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members, helping them grow professionally while maintaining high performance on audit tasks.

About you

• ACA, ACCA, or Equivalent Qualification: Fully qualified with at least 3 years of practical experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS102, and CA2014, with the ability to apply this in developing audit strategies and delivering exceptional results.
• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on client needs and audit quality.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present findings effectively.
• Hands‑on Experience: Demonstrated experience working with a variety of clients across sectors and an understanding of audit‑related risk management.
