Rhythm Careers is seeking a Senior Technologist in Dublin to lead the technical delivery of residential and mixed-use projects. You will manage working drawings, detailed design, specifications and tender information, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring high-quality output.

The role requires around 10+ years post-qualified experience, strong Irish planning and Building Regulations knowledge, and expertise in Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Job description

A well established, design led architectural studio in Dublin, with a team of around 100 people, is looking for a Senior Technologist to join its growing technical team.

The practice works across a range of high quality residential and mixed use projects throughout Ireland and is currently expanding both its design and technical teams. This is a senior, hands on role for someone who enjoys being closely involved in the technical delivery of projects and taking responsibility for the quality of the work produced by the wider team.

We’re looking for someone with around 10 or more years’ post qualified experience, with a strong background in residential projects in Ireland and experience working at senior or leadership level. You’ll need a good working knowledge of Irish planning requirements, Building Regulations and relevant technical guidance, as well as a strong understanding of building construction and detailing.

You’ll take a lead role in the technical delivery of projects, covering everything from working drawings and detailed design through to specifications and tender information. You’ll also support and mentor junior members of the team, help maintain standards across projects and use your experience to resolve technical issues as they arise.

Good client and consultant relationships are important, as is the ability to make sensible decisions around costs, resources and project priorities.

You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architectural Technology, or an equivalent industry qualification, and be a member of CIAT or a comparable professional body.

Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work comfortably between design and technical teams and deal directly with clients, consultants and contractors.

On the software side, you should be confident using Revit and BIM 360, with a good understanding of BIM processes and workflows. Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is also required.
