Job summary

Engage People is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join its growing finance team in Dublin North, Republic of Ireland. You will take full ownership of the AP function, process invoices, manage supplier statements and reconciliations, and support month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with the Finance Director, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient supplier interactions, while identifying opportunities to streamline AP processes and improve

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
• Strong understanding of the full AP lifecycle.
• Experience with supplier reconciliations and month-end.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confident dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Must have the right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Taking full ownership of the Accounts Payable function.
• Processing and posting high-volume supplier invoices.
• Managing supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Completing supplier and nominal ledger reconciliations.
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships.
• Preparing and processing payment runs.
• Posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Supporting month-end close and reconciliations.
• Assisting with audit queries and finance reporting.
• Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline AP processes.
• Supporting the Finance Director and wider finance team with ad-hoc requirements.
