Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead AI Security Engineer to lead hands-on development of security controls for foundation models and AI use cases. You will translate governance guidance into tested, production-ready security features for data pipelines, model serving, and API access.

You will work with security, privacy and AI governance teams to ensure compliant, robust defenses, perform vulnerability testing, and drive responsible-AI practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing ML/AI models for security vulnerabilities.
• Strong applied security engineering skills to build real controls.
• Experience implementing bias/fairness testing for ML models.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical recommendations from security and governance teams.
• Test models for vulnerabilities like membership inference or inversion.
• Build guardrails and mitigations for security testing results.
• Stay current on emerging model vulnerability research and attack techniques.
• Collaborate with security, privacy, and governance teams as a technical lead.
