Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead AI Security Engineer to lead hands-on security for foundation models and AI use case delivery. You will implement technical controls, tests, and mitigations to keep the platform secure while enabling responsible AI practices.

You will translate advisory guidance into concrete engineering work, collaborate with central security and governance teams, and drive secure design choices across data pipelines and model serving.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing ML/AI models for security vulnerabilities (adversarial robustness, membership inference, etc).
• Strong applied security engineering skills: build real technical controls (guards, filters, access restrictions).
• Experience implementing bias/fairness testing or mitigation for ML models.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical recommendations from security/governance review teams.
• Test models for security vulnerabilities directly and assess risks.
• Build and maintain guardrails and mitigations for vulnerabilities.
• Perform bias and fairness testing for models and use cases.
