Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Lead AI Security Engineer to support a strategic AI engineering team focused on foundation model development and AI use case delivery. This role centers on hands-on implementation of model security, AI product platform security, and responsible-AI practices.

You will translate governance guidance into concrete engineering work, build tests and mitigations, and partner with security and governance teams to ensure robust platform security across hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing ML/AI models for security vulnerabilities.
• Experience implementing guardrails, filters and access controls.
• Knowledge of data protection considerations in AI/ML deployments.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical security controls and guardrails for AI models.
• Test models for vulnerabilities such as membership inference and data leakage.
• Build and maintain mitigations and governance-aligned test evidence.
• Collaborate with security, privacy, and governance teams across the platform.
• Support incident response and remediation testing for model findings.
