Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Principal AI/ML Software Engineer to lead design, development, deployment, and operation of production-grade ML and computer vision solutions. You will influence architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive scalable, observable ML services in a hybrid Ireland-based role.

You will design end-to-end pipelines, lead software engineering best practices, and work across cloud-based infrastructure, MLOps, and CI/CD to deliver impactful healthcare technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software/ML in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and scalable software design.
• Experience with ML pipelines and cloud deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate CV/ML models for production use.
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to deployment.
• Lead Python code quality, testing, and scalable service design.
• Collaborate with data engineers and product teams in agile sprints.
