Job summary

Analog Devices in Ireland is seeking a Staff AI/ML Engineer focused on perception, SLAM, and sensor fusion to enable real-time environmental awareness at the edge. You will influence algorithms across hardware, embedded software, and AI systems.

We value a strong background in robotics perception, 6+ years in AI/robotics, and hands-on experience with SLAM, VIO, and multi-sensor fusion using Python/C++ and ROS.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in AI, robotics, or computer vision with 4+ years in SLAM or perception.
• Degree in Robotics, CS, or EE; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong 3D geometry, motion estimation, sensor fusion knowledge.
• Hands-on SLAM or VIO experience with ROS/Python/C++.
• Experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow and robotics simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy SLAM, visual odometry, and multi-sensor fusion for edge robotics.
• Develop AI methods for mapping, pose estimation, localization, and semantic perception.
• Train/evaluate DL models for spatial understanding in real environments.
• Work with real-world and simulated data; contribute to datasets and benchmarks.
• Collaborate with embedded, systems, and software teams to productionize perception.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical ownership.
• Stay current with AI robotics trends and integrate relevant advances.
