Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI/ML Robotics Engineer in Limerick to advance physics-informed sensor simulation for AMRs and fixed-arm robots.

You'll work with the Edge AI team to close the sim-to-real gap, leveraging PyTorch/TensorFlow, Python, C++, and platforms like Isaac Sim and ROS/ROS2.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in physics, robotics, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years in simulation or robotics.
• Experience with ML frameworks and scientific computing libraries.
• Experience deploying PIML models for sensor simulation.
• Proficient in Python and C++, with integration into simulation platforms.
• Strong understanding of sensor physics and sim-to-real transfer.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement physics-informed ML models for sensor simulation, ensuring physical accuracy and realism.
• Develop and optimize simulation workflows that combine physics-based modelling with data-driven approaches for sensors such as ToF, RGB-D, LiDAR, and IMUs.
• Collaborate with hardware, AI, and simulation engineers to integrate simulation outputs into real-world systems.
• Apply techniques such as noise modelling, domain randomization, and physics-based constraints to reduce the sim-to-real gap.
• Stay current with advancements in PIML, sensor simulation, and robotics, and contribute to the adoption of innovative solutions within the team.
• Utilize platforms such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, ROS/ROS2, and Universal Scene Description (USD) for simulation development.
