Job summary

Johnson Controls International (JCI) is seeking a Senior AI Engineer specializing in Data Analytics to lead scalable AI and LLM-driven solutions across products and operations. This Cork-based hybrid role requires weekly in-office presence and relocation if needed.

You will mentor teams, shape AI strategy, and partner with stakeholders to translate model outputs into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

Education in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline.
5+ years of hands-on experience in AI engineering, data science, or machine learning, including at least 1–2 years working with LLMs or generative AI technologies.
Demonstrated success in deploying machine learning and NLP solutions at scale.
Proven experience with cloud AI platforms—especially Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, Hugging Face, or AWS Bedrock.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced ML models including deep learning, time-series forecasting, and LLM-based solutions.
Develop use cases around enterprise search, document summarization, conversational AI, and knowledge retrieval with LLMs.
Fine-tune or prompt-engineer foundation models for domain-specific applications.
Evaluate LLM performance, latency, cost, and hallucination mitigation for production.
