Job summary

Huawei Ireland Research Centre in Dublin seeks a senior researcher/engineer who is passionate about Agentic AI to join our core team. You will design and ship cutting-edge LLM-powered agentic systems—from RAG pipelines to autonomous decision-makers—driving large-scale deployments in real-world business scenarios.

You have a Ph.D. in CS/AI, 3+ years backend or algorithm development with production-grade Python, and a collaborative mindset to mentor others and share knowledge across teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related discipline.
• Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications or autonomous agents.
• 3+ years backend or algorithm development with production-grade Python.
• Strong problem-solving in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communicator and team player, with mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Build frontier Agentic AI systems: architect & ship production-grade LLM-powered agents.
• Stay ahead of the curve: track AI advancements and share knowledge across the team.
• Own the full lifecycle: drive features from requirements and design to deployment and monitoring.
• Keep production resilient: troubleshoot incidents and build observability.
• Collaborate across functions: partner with product, frontend/backend, SRE, and business stakeholders.
