Job summary

TOM People is working with a fast-growing Irish business in the Mid-West to recruit a Senior Accountant. This role offers broad ownership of core financial accounting activities and growing exposure to reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.

You will maintain general ledger integrity, manage month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and support statutory accounts and audits. You will interact with project managers and senior leadership to build strong business partnering

Qualifications

• Recently qualified or qualified accountant with strong financial accounting fundamentals.
• Experience of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, audit support and management reporting.
• Construction, property, real estate or project-based experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own core financial accounting activities and maintain ledger integrity.
• Support month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership to build business partnering skills.
• Support audit processes and improve internal controls.
