Job summary

Amazon Foundational Security Services in Ireland seeks a Systems Engineer to strengthen security across AWS-backed services and retail platforms. You will help design, deploy, and support secure-by-default systems at scale.

This EU-based role requires on-call rotation every 4–6 weeks and relocation support for EU relocations. You will work with DevOps and software teams to improve resilience and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Experience working in a 24/7 production environment.
• Experience in Linux systems administration and/or development.
• Experience in two or more languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell.

Responsibilities

• Own security for Amazon Foundational Security Services across EC2, S3 and other services.
• Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation approximately every 4–6 weeks.
• Collaborate with Software Development teams to deliver secure by default services and scalable solutions.
• Design and implement new security features and automation to improve user experience and security.
