Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited in Dublin seeks a Systems Development Engineer for Amazon Security. You will raise the security bar by delivering industry-best services across EC2, S3, and other services, and work on scalable, secure systems.

You will participate in 24/7 on-call rotations, collaborate with diverse teams, and help design identity and access controls while focusing on customer trust and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals.
• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

Responsibilities

• Own security for services including EC2, S3, and other Amazon services.
• Dive deep into access control design patterns, identity security services, and lifecycle management.
• Support a 24/7/365 on-call rotation and respond to security incidents.
