Job summary

Phorest is seeking a security engineering leader to own security outcomes across our SaaS platform. You will partner with engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD, cloud environments, and code review workflows, while coaching teams to raise security capabilities.

You will enable product teams through threat modelling sessions, documentation, and hands-on pairing, building scalable security practices that empower engineers to make secure decisions autonomously.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable hands-on secure development experience (7+ years).
• Security engineering expert for complex challenges in SaaS environments.
• Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate security work while keeping human judgment central.

Responsibilities

• Own security engineering outcomes and drive cross-functional improvements.
• Introduce tooling to make secure coding the default path and reduce risk.
• Embed with product teams to provide security input at key stages and coach teams.
