Job summary

Amazon Security in Ireland seeks an Industry Specialist to own cross‑domain security programs, drive risk assessments, and partner with auditors and engineers to improve AWS controls.

You will develop deep knowledge of AWS control environments, map controls to standards, and deliver tooling to automate security assessments at scale. This role emphasizes strategic direction and cross‑functional influence.

Qualifications

• Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge.
• Experience performing technical audits/assessments in direct support of a major compliance effort (e.g., ISO, NIST, SOX, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR and other regulatory/industry certifications).
• Bachelor's degree or above in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent.
• Experience with audit or risk program design, control environment process documentation, and control mapping.
• Experience communicating with customers, technical, regulatory, business teams, and management to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs.
• Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products.
• Experience designing and implementing controls or experience performing audits over financial reporting environment, or experience working with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk controls across AWS security programs.
• Liaise with auditors and stakeholders to articulate control implementations and impact.
• Coordinate improvement efforts and monitor effectiveness of security-related initiatives.
• Design and deploy tooling to streamline security-related audits and assessments.
