Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking a technically deep Industry Specialist to drive security initiatives across AWS. You will own risk assessments, compliance mappings, and build tooling with service teams to strengthen controls in a dynamic cloud environment.

In this role you’ll partner with auditors and stakeholders, translate control requirements into practical implementations, and help us raise the bar on security across regulated markets such as Healthcare, Finance, and

Qualifications

• Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge.
• Experience performing technical audits/assessments in direct support of a major compliance effort (ISO, NIST, SOX, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Bachelor's degree or above in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of AWS security controls and operational services.
• Perform risk and control library assessments and relate to processes.
• Conduct service and feature assessments for audit requirements.
• Collaborate with service, infrastructure, and admin teams to deliver tooling for security improvements.
• Identify high-risk areas and opportunities for process improvements.
• Work with service owners to implement innovative security solutions.
• Manage build and deployment of new tooling to automate initiatives.
• Support security-related projects coordinated with service teams.
• Communicate results and remediation status to stakeholders.
