Job summary

Fallon & Byrne, Dublin’s premier food destination, is seeking a dedicated Wine Wait Staff for The Wine Cellar during our busiest festive period. You will deliver warm, engaging service, recommend wine pairings, and contribute to exceptional guest experiences.

This is a short-term role through 31 December 2026, with opportunities to grow within the team. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in wine service, strong wine knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for sharing wine

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum wine service experience.
• Solid knowledge of Irish and international wines.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Out-going, cheerful personality with team spirit.
• High attention to detail and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, attentive service in The Wine Cellar.
• Drive wine sales in the restaurant.
• Advise guests on wine pairings from a 300+ wine list.
• Maintain product knowledge and learn new offerings.
• Ensure service and food standards align with company standards.
• Collaborate with The Wine Cellar team and management for a seamless guest experience.
• Provide feedback to The Wine Cellar manager on guest requests.

We are looking for a dedicated Wine Wait Staff to join our dynamic team in our Wine Cellar restaurant, during our busiest and most festive time of the year.

As we are passionate about exceeding our guests’ expectations, you will be extremely customer focused and passionate about delivering a superior experience for our guests.

Please note that these are short term roles until 31st December 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering a warm, attentive and engaging service in The Wine Cellar

• Responsibility for driving wine sales in the restaurant

• Advising our guests on wine pairings and recommending from our list of over 300 wines available.

• Keep up your product knowledge and focus on learning about any new products which come in

• Ensure customer service and food standards are in line with company standards.

• To provide a seamless guest experience by working harmoniously with the Wine Cellar team and management.

• To provide feedback to The Wine Cellar manager about customer requests or queries.

• As well as other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

The Person

• 1 years’ experience in wine service or a similar role

• Have solid knowledge of both Irish and international wines

• A food and wine lover, and love sharing that passion!

• Outgoing, cheerful, friendly personality

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
