Job summary

The Lunch Bag in Ireland is seeking School Meals Workers to heat and distribute meals in schools, serving as the friendly face in the lunch line. You will operate in our Nenagh, Tippeary-based kitchen and deliver meals to classrooms on site.

Flexibility and reliability are valued as you navigate school term schedules, 183 teaching days per year, and a supportive team. Training in HACCP and manual handling is provided.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 14 kg boxes as part of the job.
• Able to climb stairs where required.
• Read English and follow instructions accurately.
• Heat each lunch with care and maintain HACCP practices.

Responsibilities

• Load pre-packaged school meals into ovens.
• Turn on oven and heat meals to HACCP specifications.
• Unload ovens and distribute lunches to classrooms.
• Ensure adequate stock levels.
• Follow and maintain work and cleaning schedule.
• Maintain temperature and cleaning records.
• Restock fruit bowls in classrooms.
• Distribute snacks to classrooms.
