Job summary

The Lunch Bag in Ireland is seeking part-time School Meals Workers to heat and distribute hot school meals, ensuring safety and proper handling in each classroom. You will serve as the friendly, front-line representation of the company in schools, performing duties with care and warmth.

This role offers a fixed schedule during the school term, with a 3-hour workday, Monday to Friday, and a base pay rate around 14.65 € per hour.

Qualifications

• Must read English and follow instructions.
• Able to lift 14 kg boxes.
• Comfortable with stairs; no lift at every school.

Responsibilities

• Load pre-packaged school meals into ovens.
• Turn on oven and heat meals to specified temperature according to HACCP guidelines.
• Unload ovens and distribute lunches to classrooms.
• Ensure adequate stock levels.
• Follow and maintain work and cleaning schedule.
• Maintain temperature and cleaning records.
• Restock the fruit bowls in each classroom.
• Distribute snacks to classrooms.
• HACCP and Manual Handling Training will be provided.
