Job summary

ELLIOTT MOSS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Lead to oversee the technical architecture, administration, security, deployment, and readiness of a large-scale SAP transformation project in Ireland.

You will provide technical leadership across the SAP landscape, collaborating with infrastructure, cybersecurity, development, integration, database, testing, and project-management teams to ensure robust operations and successful cutovers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and technical operations.
• Proven experience leading SAP Basis workstreams for large-scale SAP implementation, upgrade, migration, or transformation programmes.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA database administration.
• Experience with SAP system installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, patching, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of SAP transport management, system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, and support-package implementation.
• Experience supporting complex SAP landscapes across environments.
• Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, backup, restoration, and business-continuity requirements.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP security hardening, audit logging, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience managing technical cutovers and production deployments.
• Relevant SAP certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis activities across the full project lifecycle (design, build, testing, deployment, hypercare, and transition to operations).
• Define and maintain the SAP technical architecture, landscape strategy, system topology, and environment-management plan.
• Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain SAP systems across environments (dev, test, staging, production, DR).
• Lead SAP S/4HANA installation, migration, upgrade, conversion, patching, and optimization activities.
• Manage SAP system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, support packages, and transport processes.
• Coordinate with security on authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, vulnerability remediation, and hardening requirements.
• Support SAP integration with enterprise apps, middleware, identity-management platforms, monitoring tools, and infrastructure services.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident resolution, and performance-tuning activities.
• Develop capacity plans and monitor performance, availability, utilization, and stability.
• Define backup, disaster-recovery, business-continuity, and system-recovery procedures.

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Lead to lead the technical architecture, administration, security, deployment, and operational readiness of a large-scale SAP transformation project.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the SAP landscape and work closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, functional, development, integration, database, testing, and project-management teams.

This role requires strong hands-on SAP Basis experience, technical leadership capabilities, and experience supporting complex enterprise SAP environments. Experience working in public-sector environments is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis activities across the full project lifecycle, including design, build, testing, deployment, hypercare, and transition to operations.
• Define and maintain the SAP technical architecture, landscape strategy, system topology, and environment-management plan.
• Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain SAP systems across development, testing, staging, production, and disaster-recovery environments.
• Lead SAP S/4HANA installation, migration, upgrade, conversion, patching, and technical optimisation activities.

• Administer SAP HANA databases and coordinate database performance, backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability activities.
• Manage SAP transport processes and ensure controlled movement of changes across project environments.
• Work closely with security teams on SAP authentication, authorisation, encryption, audit logging, vulnerability remediation, and security-hardening requirements.
• Support SAP integration with enterprise applications, middleware, identity-management platforms, monitoring tools, and infrastructure services.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident resolution, and performance-tuning activities.
• Develop capacity plans and monitor system performance, availability, utilisation, and stability.
• Define backup, disaster-recovery, business-continuity, and system-recovery procedures.
• Coordinate technical cutover planning, rehearsals, deployment, rollback, and production-readiness activities.
• Manage SAP technical documentation, operating procedures, configuration records, architecture diagrams, and audit evidence.
• Coordinate with SAP, infrastructure providers, system integrators, subcontractors, and other technology vendors.
• Review technical deliverables and ensure compliance with project architecture, security, quality, and governance standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to SAP Basis consultants and support teams.
• Support knowledge transfer and the transition of the completed solution to the AMS or production-support team.
